OUR APPROACH

A livelihood begins
with a skill.
A future takes support.

Our proposed program brings practical training, emotional support and family stability together, so young women can prepare for a more independent life.

A sewing workshop

THE PROPOSED ONE-YEAR PROGRAM

Four parts.
One connected journey.

Designed for 20 young women and 10 dependent children in Kolfe Keraniyo, Woreda 01. These are proposal targets; current enrollment and delivery dates need confirmation.

01 / FAMILY STABILITY

Make participation possible.

A mother needs room in her day to learn. The proposal includes nutritional and limited child-related support to help reduce the pressures that interrupt participation.

  • Documented participant selection
  • Nutrition support linked to program records
  • Limited support for dependent children

02 / CONFIDENCE & CONNECTION

Create space to grow.

Safe-space sessions, mentoring and peer support create opportunities to strengthen confidence, communication and personal safety awareness.

  • Psychosocial support sessions
  • Life skills and decision-making
  • Peer connection and participant follow-up

03 / PRACTICAL SKILLS

Learn by making.

Sewing training gives participants guided practice with equipment and materials. The goal is practical livelihood readiness, without promising a job or a guaranteed income.

  • Vocational sewing instruction
  • Equipment and training materials
  • Attendance and training-progress records

04 / THE NEXT STEP

Build on the learning.

Working-material support and follow-up help participants prepare to apply their skills. Progress should be documented through learning records and participant follow-up.

  • Working materials within the approved plan
  • Participant progress reviews
  • Quarterly and final reporting

OUR ROOTS

Christian compassion.
Practical care.

The organization’s September 2024–February 2025 report describes Christian faith as central to its work, alongside food and hygiene support, health assistance, life skills and small-business preparation. Churches and faith-based partners have a clear place in the conversation.

WHAT PROGRESS SHOULD SHOW

Follow the journey,
not just the activity.

The proposed framework follows participation, training progress, support delivered and use of funds. Income outcomes should be reported only when measured and documented.
